For my friends around the world

I'm based in Portland, Oregon, USA. About half of my users are from outside the United States. This message is for them:

If you live in a country that the Trump government has threatened with annexation or attack ... punished with tariffs ... taken over by invading and arresting its leader ... encouraged to capitulate to other invaders ... or disparaged with profanities ... most Americans do not support that.

If you believe that cooperation between countries is better for everyone ... that historical alliances are worth preserving ... that other languages and cultures are interesting and deserve respect ... that most people around the world want the same things in life ... most Americans agree with you.

Personally, I'm proud to have built a product used internationally, and I enjoy working with users from other countries every day. Many Americans have family and friends in other countries, and many more love to travel. The Trump government does not represent us. We are doing everything we can to make the government represent us, as a democratic government should do. They have created many obstacles, but we won't give up.

You might have seen the way my city resisted when the Trump government tried sending military troops here -- the naked bike ride, the inflatable animal costumes, the music and dance. I'll end with my favorite image from that time. (It's a callback to a famous Barack Obama poster from 2008, for those who aren't that familiar with US politics.)
