Creating midi presets
« on: February 11, 2014, 10:03:53 AM »
Hi,

I like to now if it's possible to import a list of midi presets created somewhere outside SLM?
It seems like I have to create a list with about 400(!) midi presets to send the right program changes to my Nord Stage 2, having 400 programs available.
So, it's quite a lot of work to create them one by one within SLM.

I was wondering if it's possible to do this like I did with a list of songs, artist, BPM etc.
By the way: is it somehow possible to add a field to the import file for setting the midi preset to a particular song?

Thanks in advance,

Guss

If you haven't set up your songs yet, you can set them up with an import.txt file and include an outgoing MIDI program change number for each song. Then when Set List Maker imports the songs, it will create the corresponding MIDI presets and link them together:

There's no way to import just the MIDI presets or to automatically link MIDI presets to existing songs.
