iPad Internal DRUM MACHINE APP usage?
« on: April 07, 2014, 06:29:47 AM »
Sorry if this too has been answered elsewhere

If you get an iPAD DRUM MACHINE app...can SetListMaker send MIDI Program/Patch Changes to it?
If so, how?

If the drum machine app can run in the background, then it should be no problem to send MIDI to it from Set List Maker. If you are running iOS 7 then I don't think you need to do anything special; in older iOS versions you need MIDI Bridge to enable MIDI between apps.

Thanks...I am on iOS 7
The DM1 WILL run in the background, but I have just been told that although it claims Full MIDI implementation, does NOT accept MIDI Program changes, so I cannot use a MIDI PRESET to select the correct DM1 song...which makes it a bit awkward toggling back & forth between apps

Does it accept any MIDI input?

It says it does in manual!
But I think it just allows the DM1 to be played (Notes/Tempo) via a master controller/keyboard or to play out (Notes/Tempo)

...says more MIDI is being developed!!! (even though site claims Full MIDI implementation!)

Also accepts WIST Bluetooth messages to START/STOP if that helps
