Metronome Visualization Options

Any plans to further enhance the visualization of the metronome?  The reason for the question is that I notice it takes me a few bars before starting the song to feel I've got the right tempo (and I think I still get it wrong sometimes).  Something about using a visual metronome (without audio) that only shows a flash.

I was trying to think what would be ideal and perhaps a component I could place in my Layout, resized as needed, that used a "pong" like animation that goes back and forth.  When the "pong" reaches the right or left edge of the region, the screen flashes as it does now.  What do you think?

I don't currently have plans to do this, but something similar is on my wish list. I'll post back here if I end up working it in.
