Attached document will only turn to page 2 with AirTurn

When I have a 4 or 5 page document of sheet music and I am using the Airturn foot pedal,
I can only turn to page 2 or 3?  When I try to turn back to the previous page it turns back
to page 1 of the document. Also when turning pages, the screen will go blank for several seconds.
This problem started happening after upgrading to version 4. This is a huge destraction
when I am sight reading at a gig.
