Anyone give me the pros & cons of this move please?
I like SLM and it is working nicely but I want to use PC/Web based editing functions as the iPad editing drives me nuts!

Want to ensure that if I switch, (and Arlo says I can import the current SLM settings) then it will all sort of behaves/looks the same really

Le tme know :)

I have done the migration. I'm so sorry that I'm the first one to have seen this and responded. The only issues I'm having seem to exist in either app with device linking. I haven't looked back since the migration.

Scratching my head over this thread. . . by migrating from SLM to BH does that mean it is or is not possible to bring over your data (songs, set lists, chord/lyrics charts, notes, gig history, etc.)?

Or is everything going to have to be entered again from scratch - an idea I REALLY DON'T LIKE to think about.

Ha. . . Ha. . Ha.
Hoist with my own verbal petard. I posted earlier today that any problems I'd had with SLM were of the "Homer-Simpson-smack-your-forehead obvious answer variety. So too was this one.

I am superbly embarrassed.

LOL.

Well, maybe not...

I sent myself a file with a .plist extension that is supposed to be all my data. I just don't know what to do with it next, and I don't see that covered anywhere.

Log into the web interface, then click Account > Import, and you'll see instructions there.

Simply awesome! Once again, folks, it's all there. . . I just didn't look in the right places. That's why I wrote that little manifesto yesterday.

Thanks again Arlo!

By the way I stumbled onto your band's website yesterday. Got a huge kick out of it.
And I always thought "Beedle Um Bum" was a sort of "widget" title you'd invented for demo purposes!
