Count Down Clock For Each Song?
« on: December 30, 2014, 09:56:51 AM »
I'm a brand new, low-tech user of Set List Maker...approximately 12 hours into the learning/building process.

We have recordings (mp3 sequences) attached to our song files.  On our performance view, we have the "recording controls" displayed which gives us count-UP time on the left and total time on the right with the moving progress scale in the middle.  We certainly can do the math to keep track of how much song is left, however it would be much better to have a count-DOWN clock that goes from full song time and counts down to zero.  (we moved over from an old school MiniDisk player and always had that set to count-down)

Is this feature available for us to either edit the "recording controls" or as a separate feature we can add to our performance view?

In the upcoming version 4.1 (due next week) the recording button that you can add to your layout will include a countdown timer superimposed over the icon. You can reposition and resize that as needed in your layout.

Would it still be helpful to change the recording controls to count up, or would that no longer be needed with the new button behavior?

Since we've been using an MD player and we've had the same guy controlling it for 15 years, for our application we'd probably set it to count down and leave it that way.  Although, if you want to keep it similar to MD players & CD players, you may want to have it go both ways...?  Most have the option to toggle between the two.
