Problems with iPad mini 2 and Focusrite iTrack Dock

Just bought the iTrack Dock (Focusrite) for my iPad mini 2 (retina display).
Anyone using this combination?

Pros:

• I can dock my iPad mini, there's no other docking station available as far as I know
• could be used to enable multi route outputs in setlistmaker and playback recordings via stereo out and the click /tempo via the phones jack

Cons:
Too noisy to use. I can hear humming and terrible noises even when I tap or slide in Setlistmaker.

I'll return this iTrack because I can't figure out how to get rid of this.
