Not having much luck with connecting Android BH with Windows VST Host

I want to "BROADCAST REMOTE CONTROL EVENTS TO OTHER DEVICES" but I can't figure out how to connect the bluetooth in BH to the Laptop.

Do I need other apps (Android: Midi-BLE Connect, Win:MidiBerry)or does BH take care of the connection.

I have the Android 7.1 tablet "Paired" with the Win 10 Home (Latest update) laptop but it's not showing up as a "Device" in BH and BH is not showing up in the VST host.

Is this possible?

The Broadcast Remote Control Events setting is for device linking. That only works between mobile devices running BandHelper:

To communicate with a Windows computer, you'll need to use MIDI:

Ok - and I see I should be able too -
The Android version, on Android 6 or later, can send and receive MIDI over USB (via a USB OTG cable) or Bluetooth

But I can't seem to connect.

It's Paired - but "Disconnected"

I might have found the problem

Updating the Bluetooth Radio firmware from the Intel site

got my fingers crossed (and toes & eyes)

I'm not sure what you're doing or what you mean by "Paired - but 'Disconnected'."

To connect to a Bluetooth MIDI interface, you need to click the MIDI icon in the top toolbar, then click Connect to a MIDI Device. If that option doesn't appear, that means your device doesn't support Bluetooth MIDI. (Some Android hardware, even if it is running Android 6, doesn't support it.)
