remote start recording from shared device

I have a MacBook with band helper. I like to start an Intro from it because it is connected to an audio interface. I like to use a shared iPad to remote start the intro. is this possible?

Yes, you can share actions using the Live Sharing function:

You can either follow song selections from the iPad and then start the recording from the song selection (or song second selection), or share layout gestures (like two-fingered tap) and then start the recording from the gesture.
