Personal Custom Field

I was looking for a feature that could help with this scenario : for certain songs, I would like a personal hint on screen that is unique to me, for example whether I use a drop pedal and how many steps down. This detail is unique to me as a bandmember.

I know we can have personal fields for some standard items like notes and lyrics, and Notes is a decent place for this information, but in a layout I don't see how I can have a short text version of the Note immediately on the screen without having to hit the Notes button.

Changed Key is another logical place for what I need, however I can't make that personal.

Any clever ideas?

You can edit your layout and add the Notes field instead of the Notes Button.

You can also add custom fields from the Repertoire > Custom Fields list, then add those to your layout.

If you're sharing a layout with others, custom fields that aren't assigned to them will be hidden. If you're the only person using your layout, you can take more liberties with making space for items that only you see.

Brilliant. It hadn't occurred to me to create a custom field and only assign my user to it.
