Hi Arlo

Once again apologies if this is a problem due to iOS updates

When I set the set list up for a gig, I toggle keyboard icon  on  on the top tool bar, when I skip out of the show and return, the keyboard has toggled off,

Could you please either have a semi permanent on toggle or make it possible to have a keyboard icon in the split screen in a nice vivid colour that reminds us of its state, when I have the split screen with a tiny section on the right of the split, the important buttons like midi and keyboard are often  missing  or obscured, is this something that could be addressed in future versions?

Could we have the option of them residing in the area were current remaining completion are maybe?

Many thanks

I'll put it on my wish list, but I'm afraid this would only work well for people who always have a Bluetooth remote control device connected. Maybe the app could remember that it is selected, but reset that preference after 15 minutes. The problem is that as of iOS 8, the app can't detect whether a Bluetooth remote control device is connected or not, so it assumes not, until you enable that functionality.

I think adding a vivid color to that button would be a distraction from the content of your songs.

They should move to the left column if you resize the left column large enough, but if you have your column sizes right at the point where the buttons are, they might not know which side to go to. If you are not using some of those buttons, you can hide them with Settings > Appearance > Utility Buttons In Top Toolbar.

Hi Arlo

This is how I used Slm a few nights ago,

I placed an hour long  interval song in my first set list and pressed play on it,  and  the next song in that list was my opening number,  i clicked  the keyboard to its "on " state and then went to get changed,

At show  time  forty minutes later, I then clicked next song from airturn  Back stage  and my opener started, a  perfect entrance, if I had forgot to engage the keyboard  icon after inserting that interval song in the list , that would have been a problem for me, I would have had  to walk out and physically press play and stand through the ladies and gentleman , mein dammen und herren, Chico y chica introduction on the opener.

So if you are saying that the app could remember you want bluetooth on for 15 minutes while you fiddle around  and navigate menus and it stays on permanently once you stop navigating, that is fine by me.

With regard to the vivid icon in the right of the split window  to illustrate that Bluetooth keyboard option is engaged, I mean in the style of the record button, the yellow glow is reassurance that you are sending audio to your desk,  and is not really a distraction, so if there was something similar in blue maybe ?  that would be marvelous,
as you know Arlo I am using the app from twenty feet away, it's not like being a guitarist or keyboard player who would  be on the stage  with the pad at arms reach before the show starts,  I have to set and forget and hope for the best, when they announce me it all works.

Regarding the vanishing of the buttons and the edit and quick add text that I mentioned in another post, i realise that this was probably my own inexperience with the app.

I am asking a lot I know, shortcut to labels buttons, FireWire indicators etc, lots of work for you, but I don't expect you to do this for nothing, and I want to make it clear I have no problem paying for additional enhancements and upgrades on an as and when basis, I hope the guys on this forum feel the same.

Many thanks

In the upcoming app version 4.1, the keyboard input button will stay on indefinitely if you turn it on. The colors are unchanged, but FWIW the button will now blink subtly as it receives input.
