Title: Importing song key sharps and flats?
Post by: 80sMan on August 19, 2014, 12:59:46 AM
Hi,
How can import keys with sharps and flats?
Standard txt files do not handle Unicode symbols like flats and sharps?

If a 'b' = flat and '#' = sharp does setlist maker convert this to the proper notation once uploaded?

If not, could this be taken into account whilst importing keys from the import.txt file?

Regards :P

Set List Maker's import.txt file is a Unicode file, so it could contain real sharp and flat symbols. However, there's no way to type these symbols from an iOS keyboard, so you wouldn't be able to edit your keys with these symbols after importing; you'd have to type b and # at that point. Also, if you're using Set List Maker's transposing function, that just looks for b and # characters.
