Start backing track and song scrolling using MIDI

I'm new to Set List Maker. I would like to add a backing track to each song. I then want to select a song with its accompanying backing track using a MIDI foot switch controller. I then want to start the song scrolling and the backing track at the same time using the MIDI foot switch. I have a very capable MIDI foot switch. Is what I would like to do possible? If so, please point me to the documentation/help I need to do this. Thanks!
