With the Amazon Appstore shutting down this August, there may be troubles for those of us using Android devices.

Amazon says:
"Starting August 20, 2025, any apps downloaded from the Amazon Appstore will not be guaranteed to operate on Android devices. Amazon Appstore will continue to be available elsewhere, including on Fire TV and Fire Tablet devices."

I'm looking to have a plan in place to not have a loss of data, significant down-time, or need to get a new device.

Any thoughts on how to prep for the Appstore end of service date?

I think this only affects people using the Amazon app store instead of the Google Play store on non-Amazon devices (i.e., Kindle Fire devices can still use the Amazon store).

I don't think there are any non-Amazon devices that can't use the Google Play store, so if you have a non-Amazon device and you were using the Amazon app store, you can start using the Google Play Store instead. However, any apps you bought from Amazon, you will have to buy again from Google.

If you're in that position with Set List Maker, then instead of buying that again you could consider switching to BandHelper, which is sold through a subscription that covers all the platforms, rather than through different app stores for each platform.
