Disable Song Details from List View??

I want to modify the Song List view so that when I click on a song, it DOES NOT bring up the details view. The reason being that I have metronome and playback buttons enabled on the song list, and sometimes when I click either of those icons it brings me to the details view. I don't ever want to go to the details view. I always want to stay in the Song List view. Is this possible?

It sounds like you're using a layout whose Layering setting is set to Song List On Top. If you change that to Document Viewer On Top, the list won't hide when you select a song (but the document viewer will show if you click a document button).
