Hold a Midi Footswitch to continually scroll a document

Is it possible to have a MIDI footswitch scroll a document at a certain speed while holding the switch down and then stop scrolling once release?

I have a MIDI Baby 3 foot controller and it can send CC messages on a tap, release and hold. However, the hold simply sends out one command after a certain amount of time. I'm not sure if there's a way to configure it and/or bandhelper to get this behavior.

The closest I was able to get was to assign an app control action for auto scroll. Pressing and holding the MIDI baby would send a command to start scrolling, and releasing the footswitch would send the command to stop. However, this method would require that I have a duration set for all my songs.

If you have a foot switch that sends continuous messages when you hold a button down, then you can map those to the Scroll Document Up and Scroll Document Down app control actions, and set the By Amount setting to control the scroll speed.

If your foot switch doesn't send continuous messages, you could still use those actions, and set By Amount to a fairly large amount and then you can press the foot switch button two or three times if needed.

Another option is to add markers to your lyrics or documents, and then you can use the Next/Previous Page or Marker app control actions and those will scroll to the next or previous marker with one click.
