ultimate-guitar copy-paste doesn't work well

If I copy-paste from ultimate-guitar it is chord-over-lyrics style.

I saw in a post from last year that the [C] button is supposed to change chords-over-lyrics to chordpro. However this doesn't work for me. All is seems to do is remove brackets from non-chords.

Ultimate Guitar often uses square brackets around headings like "Verse" and "Chorus." So you would need to click the ChordPro Tools button once to remove those, then again to convert the manually positioned chords to ChordPro.

How does one "convert the manually positioned chords to ChordPro"? Manually? That would be tedious and time consuming. Or are you saying that ChordPro button works in two different ways? [EDIT - just tried using the ChordPro button twice and it worked. Why doesn't clicking once do both things?]

I haven't learned a typical and simple way to add a new song to BH. Most setlist apps have integrations which import the song from various websites and convert it to a suitable format directly in the app. Is this planned for BH? What are the common approaches people use to add a ChordPro song to BH? I guess copy paste from UG (say) and use the CP button twice. It is easy enough on desktop, not sure it would work well on a phone.

Because you might not want to do both things. This gives you the choice of how you want to manage your chords.

I'm not aware of any lyrics/chords websites that support this, so apps that import content from websites are probably violating their terms of use, and have to work around any obstacles that the websites put up, either intentional or not. It hasn't felt like a smart investment of time for me to try doing that, when copying and pasting is so easy.
