Download files over cell network

Hi all, I've not been able to get the option to download files over cell network to stick. I can enable it and tap Save, but when I go back to the options it's disabled again. Does anyone have any clues to what I can do to resolve it? Thanks!

Are you seeing this on iOS or Android?

Android, a Google Pixel 8.

Do you have the Data Saver function turned on in your Android settings?

That will disable the Download Files Over Cell Network setting. However, it should let you turn it on temporarily and do a sync to download any new files, before it turns off again. Is that happening? It looks like it might be turning off immediately before you can download any files.

No, it's never been enabled on this phone.
