Hi Arlo,

I m usg Keepass (a pasword safe) to mage the passwords for my various accounts. There is a small issue concerning the bandhelper website. In the login mask there are three fields need to be filled. There html-names are "name", "username" and "password". I've managed my password safe to recognize and fill the unusual third fiels ("Account name" in html "name"). Unfortunately the field for the song title is also named "name" in html, which forces my password safe to fill that field with my account name.

Could you please rename the fields in the login screen like e.g. "loginAccountName", "loginUsername" and "loginPassword", so that password doesn't recognize the "name" field in song edit mode as the Account name field?!?

kind regards
Andy

Renaming the login fields is too big a change to make for such a specific purpose. Here are two alternate solutions:

1) Your account name and username is normally saved on the login page automatically, so you only need to reenter your password. Can you try this by logging in and then logging out and looking at the login page?

2) Keepass should have a way to only auto-fill your info on a specific login page, not on every page of a website. Can you look in the Keepass documentation for a way to only enter your login info on the login page?

Hi Arlo,

I studied the keepass documentation, and unfortunately the integration in chrome browser plays some tricks with me. It only asks for credentials on the page "https://www.bandhelper.com". Helpful would be alternatively having a login page with the uri "https://login.bandhelper.com". That would also solve the problem, because that is a different subdomain.

Even when I log out and in, I have to retype the Account name after closing the browser or restarting Windows.

Have you confirmed with the makers of Keepass that there is no way to do that?

Meanwhile, I'll put renaming the account field on my wish list. (I don't think it would be necessary to rename the username and login fields.)

arlo

I just renamed the Account field from "name" to "accountname." Does that solve the problem?

Hi Arlo,

this solved my problem in combination with the KeePass password safe. Thank you very much!
