My experience with TP_Link was that the Wifi signal is not sufficient, so I switched to Cisco AccessPoints, what are not so easy to configure but provide a reliable Wifi. Also I prefer to use a 5GHz only and turned off the 2.4GHz because there are too much interferences from smartphones other Wifi's etc.

When you log into BandHelper on the new iPads, your documents will download automatically.

Also, settings with a sync icon on the settings pages will sync to your new devices.

Other settings are specific to each device, so you can compare the settings pages on the devices, or use the Export Settings and Import Settings buttons in the Settings menu to copy them.

Repertoire Help / New devices…. Question re sett...

I need to purchase 2 new iPads. When I set them up, will Band Helper import my documents to the new iPads or do I need to back up the folder from the old device to the cloud and then move it to the new device?
Are there any other things I need to be aware of before wiping out the old iPad?

TIA

Repertoire Help / Re: Pinned MIDI preset order
Last post by arlo - April 23, 2026, 08:58:24 AM
You can only pair a preset with one other preset. That's meant for toggling a setting between two states (typically, on and off). If you want to step through a series of presets, you can attach them directly to the song and then use the Next MIDI Preset and Previous MIDI Preset app control actions.

Hi, Thanks for the response,
What I meant by "Cycle the Preset" is that on the first button press, the preset is sent, but if there's a linked preset, then on the second press, that is sent instead (then on the next press, the initial preset is sent again). I was wondering if it's possible to extend that to more than 2 presets in the cycle.

Container presets sound like an interesting possibility, but I don't think they can accomplish what I'm asking for.

Pinned presets are sent in alphabetic order, so if you need to change their order, you can manipulate their names.

If you are always sending all the pinned presets together, another option is to create a container preset and attach those presets to it and then you can drag them into the desired order within the container preset. And then you can pin just the container preset.

Quote from: WilburrUK on April 22, 2026, 02:01:59 AMwhen I have a preset with another preset linked to it, if I send that preset from a button, it cycles the actual preset sent, I presume that doesn't happen when I send the preset from an action?

What do you mean by "cycles the preset"?

Quote from: WilburrUK on April 22, 2026, 02:01:59 AMIt would be nice to be able to set up a sequence of linked presets, which could be cycled with a single button, it would be even nicer, if the button text/colour changed to reflect the last preset sent.

You can create a container preset and attach other presets to it and attach just the container preset to a song. Then if you click the container preset's button, it will become highlighted and all its attached presets will be sent.

Repertoire Help / Pinned MIDI preset order

If there are multuple pinned midi presets on a song (actually all songs, since they're pinned), the multi-preset button presents them in the order they appear in the presets list, and presumably, that's the order they're sent when some action (song select in my case) triggers the "Send Pinned Midi" action?

However, there seems to be no way to reorder the presets list either in-app or on the web, is there a way to do it?

A second slightly related note, when I have a preset with another preset linked to it, if I send that preset from a button, it cycles the actual preset sent, I presume that doesn't happen when I send the preset from an action? It seems not to, hopefully that's intentional.

And finally, a bit of a feature request. It would be nice to be able to set up a sequence of linked presets, which could be cycled with a single button, it would be even nicer, if the button text/colour changed to reflect the last preset sent.

Note: for context, all my midi presets are actually OSC messages sent to my mixer (XR18) to control mutes and FX channels.

I received an email that someone had renewed my account for a month. I logged in to my Bandhelper account on the website to verify and I can see the receipt that someone has paid for a month for 6-20 users with pro functions.

Is someone attempting to hijack my account?

You can split or merge accounts at the project level using the Admin > Export and Admin > Import pages on the website. So you could import a project from your account into his account, and then share songs from that copy of your project in his account to his project as needed.

If you only need to do this for a few songs, it would be easier to log into both accounts in the app, then use the copy button on the song edit page to copy individual songs from one account to the other as needed.
