One in particular that I am missing is the {soc}{eoc} construct used to embrace, and thus explicitly identify, choruses. I do have an app where choruses are rendered with an indent and a vertical bar in the left margin. This helps make the different sections of the song stand out without wasting vertical space for labels. One could use colours, but I am not comfortable with colouring text unless the colours are relative to content tags and can be chosen in user-preferences.

In the new app version 2026-06-12 released today, you can define text styles on the Repertoire > Text Styles page, then apply those styles when editing lyrics. If you later update the styles, the songs where you applied them will update automatically.

You can also map BandHelper styles to ChordPro verse, chorus, bridge and comment directives, and they will be converted when importing or exporting ChordPro files (ChordPro export is also new). More info is here:

In the new app version 2026-06-12 released today, the Headings Fade setting is a Headings Color setting.

You can also define styles and then apply them from the Styles button when editing lyrics. More info is here:

In the new app version 2026-06-12 released today, the Headings Fade setting is a Headings Color setting.

Also, you can now define styles on the Repertoire > Text Styles page, and set Map to ChordPro Style to Comments for one of the style; then that style will be applied when importing a ChordPro file that contains a {Comment} directive. Similarly, you can define styles for ChordPro verse, chorus and bridge directives.

If you're using a song with multiple bands, you can enter it once, then copy it to another database with the copy button on the song edit page.

If you migrate to BandHelper, the structure and terminology are a little different. You can have multiple projects in one account, and then you can assign songs to multiple projects. In that case, you don't have separate copies of a song that you have to maintain separately. More info is here:

I just want a database with all the songs. One level below that, several bands. And one level below that again, the shows for each band.

Database (with all songs) -> Band 1 -> Show 1
                                                          -> Show 2
                                                          -> ...
                                        -> Band 2 -> Show 1
                                                        -> Show 2
                                                        -> ...

Because:
With one database per band, I always have to enter the same songs multiple times.

Custom fields are only for songs, not for shows.

What specifically are you trying to accomplish?

Can I also group the shows into user fields, like when I enter a date?
When I create a user field in the database, it does not appear in the show menu.

I think it's better to show the title in a separate field than to alter the position of the current song within the song list, because that could add confusion about the order of the songs. For example, you might forget that you have scrolled the song list down and think that the song in the second visible position (just under the pinned song in the first position) is the next song on the set list. That would be bad if the band starts the next song and you start playing a different song.

Yeah, I'm aware of those, but those options have quirks and tradeoffs.

For example: for the user just viewing a song list only layout on their phone, I made a layout where I resized the song list to leave a little space at the top of the "title" field. That's fine but it basically shows the title twice, once in the field and again in the song list, unless you scroll down in the song list.

Again, this was a small issue and isn't high on my wishlist but I think it would be an elegant solution that would help clean up lay outs.
