What app are you using? You posted in the Set List Maker forum but you're quoting instructions from the BandHelper website.

Yes I followed these instructions! https://www.bandhelper.com/tutorials/app_control.html

I can get the numbered song within the set list thing working.. but for the life of me haven't been able to get specific songs. Only things I can't find word for word on the ipad settings.

-"Tap Add an Action" I don't see this anywhere on the iPad, but I do see all of the actions (filtered by common/active/all. I can find the "song Number" section there, but not by hitting "Add an Action>Navigation>Song Number"

Any advice or other details I should include?

Okay, good! Regarding breaking something, note that you can undo most edits from the Admin > History page of the website or the Setting > Account Sync > History page of the app.

Thank you so much arlo! Just got it all figured out.  Im slowly getting less concerned about breaking something when I make changes in the app.

Cheers!

Quote from: donmr on January 02, 2026, 07:03:44 PMThis is very cool! Wondering, HOPING there is a way to set time based effects like delay tempo from BandHelper to the Wing on a song by song basis. As the wing sadly looks like it doesn't know what to do with midi beat clock Im desperately looking for a way to do this!
Many thanks,
Don

Yes you certainly can do this.  Example: If you have a delay effect like 'WING Delay' set into FX Processor slot 3, you can use OSC to set its time or speed.  Using your tablet with BH running, you can connect to WING as Christophe lays out in his post above.  Port 2223, your WING IP address.  Then send /fx/3/time 1000.  The 1000 represents the tempo time in ms (0-3000 is possible).  This is passed as a float, not an integer by the way.  Works perfect.

Thank you!

This app does so much I get lost in it.

Is it possible to add a box to the lyrics page to view personal notes? I only see an option for the regular notes.

It would be better to use breaks instead of pauses to show set breaks. Pauses are for a brief pause between songs to make an announcement or an instrument change, but the performers remain on stage.

There is no way to auto-advance only from the last song to the break. Actually, you could try placing a song link after the last song in the set, and then use the Only Between Linked Songs option when setting up the auto-advance; I haven't tried that. That would also rely on the song being played at a fixed duration so the app knows when to auto-advance.

It would be simpler to manually advance to the next song (which in this case will be the break placeholder) before starting your break.

Are you talking about auto-scrolling the pause details text? That's not possible.

Yep exactly what I was hoping to achieve. one of the pause features I like the most is the count down timer based on duration and how it shows a negative value for taking longer than intended for a task. using this for timing the bands breaks is a really cool accountability tactic for all of us but remembering to start it right as the last song of the set ends hasn't been as consistent as id like :(
