I think a more direct filter would be Field = Lyrics, Operator = Equals and then leave the Value field empty.

From the website, the only place you can hide bracketed chords is on the set list Share Songs page. You can click Share Songs for a set list or smart list, then turn off the Bracketed Chords option and copy the lyrics from that page.

The auto-scroll function will compensate for different text sizes on different devices, but it won't recalculate if you resize the text while auto-scrolling. You should save your desired text sizes before you perform so you don't have to change it while performing.

I also recommend talking to your bandmates first, and if they are happy with the existing font sizes, you can turn on Settings > Account Sync > Personal Sync > Lyrics Font Size to change your own font sizes without affecting the display for other users.

Repertoire Help / Changing text size - autoscrol...
Last post by Bassandbeer - November 29, 2025, 08:00:41 AM
So, I'm over 50 now, and although I'm following from another user on stage, sometimes I need to quickly "zoom" to see the lyrics (my eyes are bad). When I do that, it completely renders autoscroll useless, as it's still trying to autoscroll based on the main user that I'm following.

Is there a way for me to make the lyrics larger, and still have the autoscroll adjust and work correctly? I cannot figure out a way that works. either I leave the lyrics in the original size for the song (which are too small for me to see), or I turn off "follow", so that I can adjust the font size, but lose autoscroll.

Repertoire Help / Hide chords in web app?
Last post by akajt - November 28, 2025, 06:21:41 PM
Hello,

At my church we use Media Shout to present lyrics for the congregation while we lead worship. But, the lyrics in Media Shout are not always the same as in Band Helper. So. I was thinking if there was an easy way to copy lyrics from Band Helper and paste into Media Shout. The web app would be ideal since Media Shout runs on a PC, but the bracketed chords show in the web app, so it wouldn't be as simple as a copy from the browser and a paste into Media Shout. Any suggestions?

Thanks...Jim

Create a smart list. Set the filter to
Field: Lyrics
Operator: Less than
Value: 1

Then it should work.

Repertoire Help / Search for songs with no lyric...

I'm wondering if you've implemented a search filter to find songs with an empty Lyrics field?

I realised at a recent gig that there were a bunch of songs I'd entered without lyrics - when I was just the guitarist and not singing. Now I'm doing solo gigs it would be helpful to find those and fill them in.

Repertoire Help / MIDI PCH in Set Lists
Last post by ElleMrLA - November 27, 2025, 02:30:54 AM
I check my PCH commands with BadHelper. In my layout, I have displayed the MIDI commands when the song is selected in the song list.
If I set a Program Change command in a specific song (with MIDI presets), it is also sent to the keyboard. So far, so good.

However, I have a MIDI preset (Piano) that I set to "Master for all songs" in the MIDI preset settings. This preset should always be sent whenever no specific MIDI preset is available.

Example:
Kling Klang
Kling Klang
-----------------
▢Piano

Here, the upper PCH command (Kling Klang) is sent to the keyboard.

Another song
▢Piano

Here, the command (Piano) is NOT sent to the keyboard.

Why is this, and what can I do to ensure that this MIDI preset is also sent to the keyboard?

Repertoire Help / Connecting MIDI Maestro with B...
Last post by ElleMrLA - November 27, 2025, 01:14:40 AM
I bought a MIDI MAESTRO footswitch from Singular Sound.

I can connect it to BandHelper. However, at first, nothing happens. Only when I turn MIDI off and then back on does the footswitch work.

Is it supposed to be like this, or am I doing something wrong?

Repertoire Help / fast forward and rewind automa...
Last post by ElleMrLA - November 27, 2025, 01:09:29 AM
How is it possible to fast-forward or rewind the automation track by, for example, 10 seconds using a footswitch?

I can't find anything under App Control --> Add Action --> Automation.

There is only 'Search Automation.' But that requires a continuous controller, which my footswitch does not provide. Wouldn't it also be possible to step forward or backward here?
