The band will need to add you as a user in their account to share the data for that band. You can continue using your own account alongside theirs if you have other projects besides that band.

Will adding me as a user in their band cost them one of their user licenses even though I am paying for my own account?

Is Loopy the recipient of the MIDI you're sending? And you have it set to receive on both channels 1 and 2?

Hi,

No I mean I've got two different setups for each song on Loopy Pro (on the same iPad) depending on which  keyboard rig I am using.  So I need a way of selecting a different MIDI setup.  So far I've created two MIDI devices (one on channel 1 and the other on channel 2 so I can use the same patch change numbers) but need a way of triggering that patch change on just one of the MIDI channels. It works if I use the 'multiple MIDI button' but it looks a lot messier than the MIDI button. Having two customisable MIDI buttons would be better. Unless somebody can think of an easier way??

Do you mean you're sometimes using a keyboard that listens on channel 1 and other times you're using a different keyboard that listens on channel 2?

In that case you can add a MIDI device for each keyboard, and then enter the messages you want to send to both keyboards in the same MIDI preset. When the channel 1 keyboard is connected, it will ignore the messages sent to channel 2, and vice versa.

I want to send different MIDI Preset information depending on which version of the song I want to use on Loopy Pro.  I've got one when I'm using my Nord and one for when I'm playing a standalone version from a standard master keyboard. 

Is there a way to have two MIDI Preset buttons on my layout one which triggers a setup on MIDI channel 1 and one which triggers a different setup on MIDI channel 2?

I am currently looking at the Multiple MIDI button feature but's just messier than I need. 

Can this be done?

If I have an individual Band helper account and join a band that uses band helper with all members, can they share set list, charts, and songsto me from their account?

In the new app version 2026-06-12 released today, you can define text styles on the Repertoire > Text Styles page, then map those styles to ChordPro verse, chorus, bridge and comment directives. They will be converted when importing or exporting ChordPro files. More info is here:

A consistent format where texts are tagged according to purpose (verse, chorus, bridge, comment, header, chord etc) would IMHO be much preferred. Every user could then apply his/her own colour-scheme (theme) with character-attributes for each tag without risking that another users preferences affect their output.

In the new app version 2026-06-12 released today, you can define text styles on the Repertoire > Text Styles page, then apply those styles when editing lyrics. If you later update the styles, the songs where you applied them will update automatically.

I did NOT make the text styles user specific. I decided that allowing each user to have their own styles is not worth the extra effort of each user defining the styles. However, the styles themselves can be assigned to specific users and will only appear for the users they are assigned to. Currently you cannot apply multiple styles for different users to the same block of text, but that's still on my to do list. Then you could have the option to use the shared styles or create your own personal styles.

One in particular that I am missing is the {soc}{eoc} construct used to embrace, and thus explicitly identify, choruses. I do have an app where choruses are rendered with an indent and a vertical bar in the left margin. This helps make the different sections of the song stand out without wasting vertical space for labels. One could use colours, but I am not comfortable with colouring text unless the colours are relative to content tags and can be chosen in user-preferences.
