Last post by niroshw - April 09, 2025, 09:45:58 AMI have song recordings attached to each song in BH. I can control (start and stop) them from the UI without any issues. Is there a way that this can be done using a pedal? Using midi, bluetooth, wifi, usb or otherwise?

You also mentioned the personal sync options. The way this works is that each user goes into their individual settings and can turn on what things they want to sync to only their devices, correct? So if a user turns personal lyrics on, only that user will see the lyrics they add?
Would it not make more sense to have the administrator be able to set those options rather than from the other users profile?

Last post by Insider0203 - April 09, 2025, 07:39:43 AMThat's true. I've thought about it more and I think the main concern (and I think most people would share this) is that the administrator doesn't generally want anyone deleting any data, like whole songs or setlists.
So I'm the administrator, but not a singer. I'd like to be able to let the singers add lyrics to all the existing songs in the data base but not have the ability to delete anything. I think that's a generally useful feature; edit metadata but not the main data. It'd be analogous to a shared Google sheet where the file owner can select which cells in a spreadsheet are editable to which users.

Yes, I have sometimes one song divided in 2 or 3 parts to manage the audio player controlled by midi. Sometimes because it's divided in 2 parts, sometimes because there's a middle part with an audio loop. And because I want to use just one physical midi button to control play / play next or other, I need to assign different midi command to the same midi line , so I do it with the same song divided.
Hope to be clear...
In the past I was using two midi buttons, but I don't like to think "which button should I press to exit the loop" for example when I go to the next part after an improvisation. I need to have something instinctive.

Last post by arlo - April 08, 2025, 01:51:22 PMYour fill-in singer could turn on Settings > Account Sync > Personal Sync > Lyrics and then they can add their own lyrics. Nobody else will see those personal lyrics, but you could copy them from the personal field to the shared field later.
I'm surprised a fill-in singer would be willing to populate your account with lyrics. I would expect the band leader or maybe the regular singers to do this, and then it would be available for the fill-ins, making it easier for them to practice the material.

These are simple but might not be flexible enough for some users.
For example, I'm currently in a situation where we have a fill-in singer. Our main singers have most of their lyrics memorized and consequently, most songs in our repertoire don't have lyrics added. For this fill-in singer, they will require lyrics. It would be great if the admin could allow users to select which fields are editable. In this case, I would only allow this singer to be able to edit lyrics in songs and nothing else.
Other things that could be selectable could be documents, midi presets, notes, song names and other important meta data fields, set lists, smart lists, etc

Last post by Insider0203 - April 08, 2025, 04:38:24 AMWhen editing a song from the "songs" tab on the home page, I go to add a midi preset. I select the preset and attach it to the song. I save the song and everything looks good at this point. Then I load a setlist or smart list with the song and the MIDI preset is not attached. I go to quick edit the song from the setlist to confirm it's not there.
Editing the song from the quick edit button in setlist/smart list produces the same bug. I view a setlist, select a song, hit the "edit song" button and attach a preset. When I go back to the setlist, the preset is not saved to the song like it should be.
What does work is going to the MIDI presets menu, selecting a preset and using the new "add to song" function.
The website editor also works. So it seems this to be strictly with the edit window for songs.
This is on a 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch, 64GB, WIFI only model with an A12x chip running the latest iOS firmware.
I have screen recordings of the bug in action. If you can fix the help ticket issue, I can send them to you there.
