Repertoire Help / Control presets with Midi Cont...
Last post by ChrizyKeyz - December 25, 2025, 04:36:01 AM
Hello everyone! I have a question about Midi presets. I'm conrolling my app with iRig Blueboard at the moment and it has 4 buttons. I use it for switching songs and for changing midi presets. I have only found a way to control midi presets to go next or previous. Is there a way to control midi presets one by one with certain buttons on controller? I'm planning to upgrade my midi controller to bigger one and would be nice to have own buttons for each midi preset. Like button 1 = first preset on a song and B2 = second preset etc. etc... Could be faster to change presets without scrolling them. If possible, where in the settings this happens?

Looks like only the iRig MIDI 2 would be feasible. The rest have standard USB-A connections which would require yet another adapter to plug into with the tablet.  I am also seeing some reviews that state it's not reliable and glitches at times.

Okay, I don't have any other ideas for troubleshooting this. If this is the keyboard player's tablet and he's going to control his keyboard with it, have you considered just using a USB MIDI connection? If the keyboard doesn't have a built-in class compliant USB interface, you'll need a USB MIDI interface like the ones shown here:

I had exchanged a few messages with a rep from CME and he basically told me to try the things I had already tried or try using it with a different MIDI device, which I do not own. Lastly he said it works fine with his Android of the same model and he doesn't have any answers.  So no such luck there.

In the iPad Settings app, you can turn on General > Keyboards > Auto-Capitalization.

Are you using the iOS app, macOS app, Android app or website?

Only the first letter of each word in the title!
I disabled this a while ago and I don't know where to re-enable it.
I'm on Ipad

Handling lyrics like documents, with multiple sets of lyrics per song that are assignable to specific users, is on my wish list and I'll add a vote for you.

Meanwhile another option is to use a layout that doesn't show the document viewer by default (any layout with the Layering set to Document Viewer On Top). Then users who don't want to see the lyrics can use all that screen space where the lyrics are for something else. But they can still click the document button to see the lyrics if needed for a particular song.
