You can't show MIDI presets on a smart list. But you can go to Repertoire > Songs on the website and click the Export button and the exported file will show the names of the MIDI presets attached to each song. You can also go to Repertoire > MIDI Presets and click export to show the contents of each preset.

Hi, I hope Im not missing something obvious but we read our music from documents attached to songs. We are using an IPAD.  I've not been able to figure out how to get the tempo flash to continue when the document has opened - is this possible? It would be great to have a metronome visible while the document is on the screen. The document takes up the full screen. Many thanks.

Hi Im trying to create a smart list of Song Titles by Raw Midi Device by Midi Preset Name and Program Change Number, but (other than Title) the relevant parameters dont appear to be available.
I would like to print a report which tells me what the presets are for each song. I had my midi interface fail at a gig the other day, and it was a slow process looking up each program change between songs, so I thought a report would be a useful backup.  I interchange between a Roland GR55 guitar synth and a Headrush Pedal Board at different gigs, and so it would also be useful to check that all songs have a midi preset allocated no matter which device I'm using.  Thanks!

Yes, your data will download automatically to the new device.

And yes, you can do device linking between platforms. However, if you do screen sharing between devices of different sizes, you won't take full advantage of the difference in screen sizes. If you instead do remote control through device linking, then each device can use its own layout.

Im considering a large screen android (Samsung) tablet just for BandHelper. Currently, I use two iPad Air. When I place the app on the android device, will it “see” the entire repertoire, docs and all?

Also... can I “broadcast” the screen from an iOS to an android and vice versa?

I think the only place the names wrap is when previewing or printing from the website. If you download from the website and then print the downloaded file, or do anything from the apps, the names do get truncated.

Is there a way to truncate titles when sharing a set list? On some text sizes certain titles wrap and I would rather have them truncated.
The obvious solution is to change the actual song title names so they are not so long, but I would rather keep the entire name.

If this is not something that exists, would it be possible to add a field on the Share Set List page to set a limit on the max characters to print for a title?

This feature is really meant to add a song that isn't included in the set list, so the behavior when the song is already included was a little vague. You're right that previously it would add the song again, and now it jumps to the existing song. The updated behavior seems more logical to me, but I'm open to feedback from other users about this.

Hi all,

I'm using BandHelper on an iPad. In former releases, I could just use the "Add song" button in any layout to add a song as the next upcoming one in my current playlist in performing situations. This did also work for songs already contained in my playlist and worked as expected - new song added as the next one, playlist continues as planned afterwards. However, this behavior has obviously changed in one of the last iOS releases. Now, when adding a song that is already in the list (greyed out in the provided song selection list), it is not added, but the current songs "jumps" to the place where it has been scheduled in the playlist before. I'm a bit confused by this behavior since a) I always need to navigate back to the place I've been before in my setlist and b) - since I've activated "Save songs after quick adding" in the settings - my setlist is NOT altered this way and therefore not saved as it was played afterwards.

Anyone else also experiencing this behavior? I would highly appreciate a way of coming back to the old functionality since that worked perfectly for me before.
